This week Alister shared about the theme of hope, quickly distinguishing between our every day 'pot-luck' hope and the 'Holy Hope' that God calls us to live by. Centring around the verse in Hebrews; 'We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure', Alister challenges us to speak this kind of hope into situations to bring about transformation.

In the final message from our 1st series in Acts, Nick uses the arithmetic operations of division, subtraction, addition and multiplication to journey through this passage. He highlights how we can learn from the mistakes the early church make in this story, and even more importantly, learn from the wonderful way in which they redeem their faults by expressing a radical form of solidarity!

As we arrive at chapter 5 of Acts, we discover the strange and unsettling story of Ananias and Sapphira. Jamie suggests their unfortunate demise warns us of two threats to the Church that must continue to be guarded against: Insincerity and damaging the 'spirit' of the community of faith.
