This week Nick reflects on a subject we’ve (hopefully!) all got in common - breathing! We consider what the Bible and science has to say about breathing, and the value of doing intentional breathing practices to nurture our spiritual, physical and mental wellbeing. Abi follows this by putting some breathing exercises into action.

In Acts 16 we read how, while in Philippi, Paul and Silas witness God's power to overcome the evils that hold people captive. Not all prisons have bars, and sometimes we can turn a blind eye to the systems that underwrite these evils.
Wrapping up this leg of our ongoing study through Acts, Jamie reflects on how God's miraculous power blossoms from the soil of counter-cultural faith, love and compassion.

This week, we had a special family "Get The Summer Started!" service introducing our Holiday Club, "Taste and See"! Many shenanigans ensued, including "Sundae School", where Jamie explored the differences between rest, leisure, holiday and Sabbath. And some sundaes may have been consumed as well!

Message: The Colour Purple: Part 1 - Nick Drury
This week, in light of Lydia’s short story in Acts 16, Nick considered the role women play in the Bible. Women only speak for 1.1% of the scriptures! In light of this, we consider the importance of giving extra care to the passages that speak about women, and how we need to be aware of our own biases in order to embrace those who are on the margins.
