In a world where many of us feel under the relentless pressure of busyness, where anxiety and stress run rampant, the provision of 'Sabbath' may be one of the most necessary, but overlooked gifts of the Bible. As part of our continuing Genesis series, Jamie unpacks the first instance of Sabbath, when on the seventh day, God rests from his work of Creation. However, there is a crucial difference in the timing of God's Sabbath, and that of our own, which anticipates God's grace throughout all salvation history. Sabbath invites us to reflect and recalibrate our perspective, with the promise of enormous benefit to our wellbeing, peace and wholeness.
